Q:    I am a student at North Nova, how do I get a transcript?

A:      Provide your Provincial Student Number when applying to Post Secondary Institutions in Nova Scotia.  The institution is then able to obtain your transcript.  More information can be found at

the following website:  https://www.mynsfuture.ca/mytranscripts

When applying to institutions outside of Nova Scotia you will need to go to student services where you can sign up in the transcript binder.

You need to list your name and the number of copies you require.    Keep checking the binder, when your name is highlighted your transcript is ready.  Please see Mr. Langille to pick up your transcript.  

 

Q:    I am a former student at North Nova, how do I get a transcript?

A:    If you graduated from NNEC in June 2012 or later, Post Secondary Institutions within Nova Scotia can obtain your transcript from the NS Dept. of Education.  You must provide your Provincial

If you graduated before 2012, are applying to institutions outside of Nova Scotia or need an official transcript for any other reason, you must contact NNEC to request a copy.  A paper copy will be provided.  Please contact the administration office by phoning 902-755-8180 extension 101 or by e-mail at cameronmi@ccrsb.ca.

Each time you request transcripts there is a fee of $ 5.00 for the first transcript and $ 1.00 for each additional transcript requested.  This fee must be paid before the transcript is released.

  

Q:    I am a former student of East Pictou Rural High, how do I get a transcript?

A:    You should contact  the administration office by phoning 902-755-8180 extension 101 or by e-mail at cameronmi@ccrsb.ca.

Each time you request transcripts there is a fee of $ 5.00 for the first transcript and $ 1.00 for each additional transcript requested.  This fee must be paid before the transcript is released.

 

Q:    I am a former student New Glasgow High School, how do I get a transcript?

A:    You should contact  the administration office by phoning 902-755-8180 extension 101 or by e-mail at cameronmi@ccrsb.ca.

Q:    I am a former student of Trenton High School, how do I get a transcript?

A:    You should contact  the administration office by phoning 902-755-8180 extension 101 or by e-mail at cameronmi@ccrsb.ca.

Each time you request transcripts there is a fee of $ 5.00 for the first transcript and $ 1.00 for each additional transcript requested.  This fee must be paid before the transcript is released.

 

Q:    Can I drop a course once the semester has begun?

A:    You can drop a course until the first report card goes home.  

        If you drop your course by these deadlines the course will not appear on your transcript.

 

Q:    How many credits do I need to graduate?

A:    18 credits

        5 credits at the Grade 12 level

        No more than 7 credits at the Grade 10 level

There are also credits required by the Nova Scotia Department of Education to graduate in Nova Scotia.  Refer to page 3 of the course selection guide. 

 

Q:    I need to contact a guidance counselor, who do I contact?

A:    Grade 9 & 10 students - Ms. Giles 902-755-8180 extension 191 or email gilesj@ccrsb.ca

       Grade 11 & 12  - Mrs. Lochead 902-755-8180 extension 192 or e-mail locheadd@ccrsb.ca

 

Q:    I want to transfer to another school, how do I do this?

A:    A transfer form must be completed and you must speak to the school principal  about your reason for wanting to transfer to another school.   Transfer forms can be obtained from the school’s administration office.  The sending school principal must first sign the Transfer form before the form is given to the receiving school Principal.

 

Q:   How do I know when to take lunch?

A:    All students take lunch from 11:40 pm to 12:30 pm.       

    

Q:    I am concerned that I am not taking the right courses for graduation requirements or future studies.  Who should I speak to?

A:    Student Services staff is available to help you.  Contact the department to request an appointment.
